For the past few months, I’ve been dropping a few books around Canterbury. You may have spotted a few of these on my Instagram as well!
Book fairies is a worldwide project started by Emma Watson. For me personally, this project is about sharing the love of reading. Since last year, I’ve been having a problem of where to keep books I’ve read, and I really wanted people to read them, instead of just keeping them on my shelves to collect dust. This was the perfect solution!
Mitch Albom’s book was the first book I dropped on the west station. I absolutely loved this book. So much memories from the adventures and places I traveled to with Albom! The characters may be fictional, but they represent such real souls we encounter everyday.
The second book I dropped was Listen, Love, Repeat. It reminds me to live an others-centered life, which seemed fitting with the project.
It’s amazing to see how many book fairies have been dropping books around the world (lots of Indonesians as well!). If you want to be a part of this, go to their website on www.ibelieveinbookfairies.com and you can get their stickers! (Easy, hey.)
PS. We found this book tree in Canterbury and you cannot believe how happy I was when we saw it. Perfect book drop location. Perfect place to hang around when the sun is out!
